ALFA's member-driven programs promote business and operational excellence through national conferences, research, publications, and executive networks. ALFA works to influence public policy by advocating for informed choice, quality care, and accessibility for all Americans.

The National Speakers Association (NSA) is the leading organization for professional speakers. Since 1973, NSA has provided resources and education designed to advance the skills, integrity and value of its members and speaking profession.

National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) (www.nahb.org)
NAHB is a trade association that helps promote the policies that make housing a national priority. Since 1942, NAHB has been serving its members, the housing industry, and the public at large.

Home Builders Association of Central Arizona (HBACA) (www.hbaca.org)
HBACA is a trade association for the residential construction and development industry. The Association provides a forum through which these businesses can work together to remain informed regarding new and proposed policies advanced by the local, state and federal governments, which affect the housing industry. The Association acts as a source of timely and reliable information concerning the state of the local building industry and works to eliminate overly restrictive and costly building laws and regulations that drive up the cost of housing.

Heart for the City (HFTC) (www.heartforthecityaz.org)
Heart For The City is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that reaches out to at-risk youth and their families in the inner-city of Glendale who easily fall prey to drugs, gangs and crime to dull their pain and sense of despair. Heart For The City’s staff and volunteers mentor, tutor, and facilitate food and clothing distribution to kids that some would call “throw-aways.” Our mission is to provide healthy mentors so that kids who might be otherwise not complete or even make it to the eighth grade will go beyond eighth grade, high school, and even make it through college. We know that when kids receive a vision for life and have healthy mentors, we then have the ability to overcome some of the negative influence in their lives and help create positive habits. This, in turn, deters crime and violence in our cities.

Score for Kids is an avenue for women and men in Phoenix to support the Phoenix Mercury by sending 4,000 girls and their families to games during the season. The goal of the program is to build the confidence and self-esteem of girls who attend, exposing them to Mercury players and giving them positive role models to emulate.

Catholic Charities/Refugee Resettlement (www.catholiccharitiesaz.com/refugee.aspx)
Catholic Charities assists refugees in starting a new life in the United States. The program has many functions, such as finding and furnishing a home for the refugees, picking them up at the airport, and coordinating initial medical and mental health care visits.

Each year, Mike and Lisa Miller give the Maci Danielle Miller Scholarship to a graduating eighth grade student planning to further his/her Catholic education. This scholarship is given in memory of Mike’s daughter, Maci, who was tragically taken in a car accident on May 11, 2001.
